I am a Brand Evangelist, Speaker, Blogger, New Media Marketing Navigator and general Agent of Change.
I am the CEO of Fluence New Marketing, a specialist Digital Marketing & Branding agency based in Durban, South Africa. I am also the social media columnist for Airport Magazine and Founder of SCHMooZ 2.0 – an offline social network for business people in the city of Durban.
I studied BCom (Industrial Psychology) at the University of the Western Cape in the mid 90s. In 1998 I joined a ticketing company as the Creative Head where I was – in addition to revolutionising the ticketing industry using internet-based technology – part of pioneering contact centre assistance via Instant Messaging. I simultaneously launched Urbantainment – the first social network (we called them virtual communities back then) for the South African entertainment industry.
After relocating to Durban, I joined MTN where I conceptualised and developed the biggest internal company portal in the South African mobile telephony industry.
In 2006 I left full-time employment to pursue my entrepreneurial vision.
